Flockmill.
A site filled with heritage, Flockmill was, naturally, a flocking mill that began life in Brunswick nearly 100 years ago. An ode to its original purpose, we named this site Flockmill. Simple, yet impactful. A collection of 58 two and three-storey terrace homes in Brunswick carefully designed around a leafy communal precinct and sensitively nestled in a neighbourhood suffused with a strong local identity, we took direct cues from its surroundings when developing its brand identity. Utilising a contemporary fleur-de-lis (one of the flocking patterns from an original mill), the red brand colour (paying homage to the historic bricks), and the font of the logotype (reminiscent of the existing building signage), we loved stepping back in time when developing this meaningful and memorable brand.
